Last night we had fireworks over the river as part of the village's Seneca River Day celebration. The fireworks are launched from the cemetery across the street, so although we are behind the fireworks as they explode over the river, we still have an excellent view from our porch. But we thought we could have an even better view from Aidan's treehouse, so before James left on his overnight fly fishing trip - his Father's Day gift - he put two chairs up on the treehouse's porch.
Just before the fireworks were scheduled to start at 9:30, Aidan and I climbed up and settled in for the show. And what a show it was! (Please pardon the few fuzzy images - in all the excitement and loudness, I didn't hold the phone as steady as I should)
Aidan thought this one looked like a dandelion:
I particularly like this photo, because you can see the solar light on the treehouse balcony post, and the next firework going up:
All too soon, it was time for the finale:
We decided that all future village firework shows will be viewed from our very own VIP seats!
