Pause

Life changed on October 13, the day I started an outside the home part time job. Although I "only" work 25-30 hours a week, my time is no longer my own. Before and after work, I still need to prepare meals, do laundry, manage the business of the house, ferry Aidan to/from activities, fulfill my Friends of the Library duties, and keep the house reasonably clean. With 25-30 fewer hours a week at my disposal, it is the fun things that fall away: reading, knitting, and blogging. Reading and knitting are both absolutely essential to my mental well being so it is blogging that I have to put aside for now. There is still much going on in our lives that I want to document but carving out the uninterrupted quiet time necessary to write even the most basic blog post is not possible at this time. Perhaps when (if?) I get a better handle on this work-home balance, I will be able to return to regular posting. In the meantime, I am pressing the pause button.
