Happy Mudder's Day

Whenever Aidan says "mother", it comes out sounding like "mudder", so yesterday was Mudder's Day at our house! James and Aidan pulled out all the stops to make it a special day for me.

Aidan had told me that I was not allowed to get out of bed until he said so...silly me, I thought that meant I would stay in bed and SLEEP! But, no, he just wanted me to stay in bed until he could bring me his presents. Hee hee. He poked me awake at 7:10 am and presented two boxes that held lots of love, a pencil, and a book he wrote. How cute!

James made his special caramelized oatmeal with fresh strawberries and whipped cream. Delicous. Then I received my cards and two charms from Lucy Ann - one says Aidan and the other says James. Yes, I suggested those charms to James months ago as a potential gift but nice that he remembered and purchased them for me!

The rest of the day was lazy. James took care of all meals - what a treat - and Aidan told me that I could knit all day, if I wanted to! I did not, but it was nice to have it offered.

It was a lovely Mudder's Day, thanks to my dear guys.
