My friend Stephanie, back in NC, sent me an email message yesterday about her son, who is six weeks younger than A and also in kindergarten this year: "The little Lothario came home with his first telephone number from a girl yesterday. It was only four digits and one of them was written backwards, yet he was very proud of himself." As well he should!
