Interview with Aidan 2012

For the fourth year in a row, I asked Aidan the same series of questions about me and here are his unedited responses:

Q: What is something I always say to you?
A: Just get it over with.

Q: What makes me happy?
A: Me being good.

Q: What makes me sad?
A: Me not being good.

Q: How do I make you laugh?
A: By doing something silly.

Q: What do you think I was like as a little girl?
A: Fun, I guess.

Q: How old am I?
A: 49, no 39! (good boy)

Q: How tall am I?
A: I don’t know!

Q: What is my favorite thing to do?
A: Knit, tink and drink. (not so much the tinking)

Q: What do I do when you're not around?
A: I don’t know! If I’m not around, I can’t see what you are doing!

Q: If I become famous, what will it be for?
A: Just being famous.

Q: What am I really good at?
A: Knitting.

Q: What am I not very good at?
A: Having good balance. (very true)

Q: What do I do for a job?
A: You work at home.

Q: What is my favorite food?
A: I don’t really know.

Q: What makes you proud of me?
A: When you do a big accomplishment.

Q: If I were a cartoon character, who would I be?
A: Super Knitter! (saving the world from dropped stitches?)

Q: What do we do together?
A: We have fun.

Q: How are we alike?
A: We both are fun and weird.

Q: How are we different?
A: You’re an adult girl and I’m just a kid.

Q: How do you know that I love you?
A: ‘Cause you say “I love you” to me.

Q: What do I like most about you?
A: I can talk with anyone, no matter their age or if I know them. (that is a quality I admire in him)

Q: Where is my favorite place to go?
A: A yarn store.

He knows me well in some ways and very little in other ways. Since I started interviewing him, his answers have become less and less imaginative and spontaneous, which is rather sad to me at time. I also now know not to interrupt "The Loony Tunes" to conduct the interview since he just wanted to "get it over with" and back to the Roadrunner.

Note: If you are so inclined, you can read the interviews from 2011, 2010 and 2009.

Proceed with caution

If you walk, jog or bike past a school when students are arriving or leaving, beware: some of the craziest, most impulsive and reckless drivers can be found in school pickup and drop off zones. And yes, I do mean the parents. They will cut other drivers off, block driveways, pretend not to see pedestrians, nearly drive on sidewalks...and then speed off well above the school speed limit. Each size of vehicle has its own particular characteristic; monster SUVs use their size to attempt intimidation whereas compact cars use speed and daring, and midsize vehicles such as station wagons feign cluelessness and drive aimlessly.

Use caution when passing by a school at those two times of the day. I'm not sure that you are even safe driving by in a car so maybe you should just avoid the situation altogether and take a detour. Trust me.
