Proceed with caution

If you walk, jog or bike past a school when students are arriving or leaving, beware: some of the craziest, most impulsive and reckless drivers can be found in school pickup and drop off zones. And yes, I do mean the parents. They will cut other drivers off, block driveways, pretend not to see pedestrians, nearly drive on sidewalks...and then speed off well above the school speed limit. Each size of vehicle has its own particular characteristic; monster SUVs use their size to attempt intimidation whereas compact cars use speed and daring, and midsize vehicles such as station wagons feign cluelessness and drive aimlessly.

Use caution when passing by a school at those two times of the day. I'm not sure that you are even safe driving by in a car so maybe you should just avoid the situation altogether and take a detour. Trust me.
