Start saving your allowance, Aidan! Mom and Aidan took a moment to rest in the courtyard just outside the shop:
I like this seat that we saw in the farmhouse:
I wonder where the designer got his/her inspiration?
James and Aidan were wise to keep their hands away from the fence - that goose looked a bit annoyed:
See more photos of MacKenzie-Childs from last year, when we stopped by while meandering the cheese trail.
On Sunday, we drove north to Sackets Harbor, a pretty village perched on the eastern shore of Lake Ontario. As you can see from this photo taken from the porch of the Visitors Center, it was another gorgeous day:
Our first order of business was lunch, and we chose Sackets Harbor Brewing Co. where we sat out on the deck with a great view of the harbor. James soon settled in with a glass of their brown ale:
I chose their IPA and we liked it so much that we got our growler filled with it. We have learned to take an empty growler with us as we travel around, just in case we encounter tasty beer. Our lunches were quitegood and Aidan REALLY liked the fried dill pickle appetizer:
He even let the rest of us try them. After lunch, we meandered around the village, visited a few shops and strolled through the Sackets Harbor Battlefield Historic Site.
Two lovely days, two fun excursions!
