Let the knitting begin

Once again, I am participating in the Ravelympics and, once again, I am participating on Team Motherhood Later. Just what is the Ravelympics? You can read my post from August 2008 to find out, or you can just assume that it has something to do with knitting (and crocheting) during the Olympics, which it is.

I am participating in two events, the Single Skein Speed Skate and the Hat Halfpipe. I cast on the neck cozy for the Single Skein Speed Skate during the Opening Ceremonies and here is my progress so far:

Koigu cozy WIP 2

The Koigu KPPPM is gorgeous, both in color and feel.

I cast on the Stella beret for the Hat Halfpipe on Saturday and I am almost done with the ribbing:

The King George yarn is a delectable blend of 45% baby alpaca, 45% Merino and 10% Cashmere.

So as I watch all things Olympic, which I love to do, I am happily and busily knitting on my Ravelympics' projects. And both projects are not so difficult that I make mistakes during very exciting moments, like the men's snowboardcross final last night - what a finish!
