Happy birthday, Aidan!

It is oh-so-hard to believe, but our Aidan had his seventh birthday today! I was concerned that he was going to have a bad day at school, given his excitement level, but he either adequately contained his enthusiasm or Mrs. M cut him some slack. I popped in at school during lunch with cookies for his class, which Aidan gleefully handed out. Then I headed home to start making homemade 'sketty and meatballs for dinner, as he requested.

He got off the bus wearing a birthday crown, which he wore on and off the rest of the day:

After putting away an impressive serving of dinner, it was time for cake. Publix makes a fabulous chocalate ganache cake, which is one of Aidan's favorites:



Then started the presents! Aidan received many cards and gifts, and was absolutely delighted with all of them. He was also thrilled to be able to read the birthday cards all by himself:






A very tired but happy seven year old boy fell asleep quickly tonight!
